6. Cookies and browser storage

This website sets no cookies. Our analytics do not use them, and we do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking of any kind.

We use two pieces of first-party browser storage:

  • An analytics session identifier, held in sessionStorage. It is a random value, it is not derived from anything about you, and it is erased when you close the tab. It cannot recognise you on a later visit, on another device, or on another site.
  • A display preference (light or dark theme), held in localStorage so the site looks the way you left it.

We honour Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track. If your browser sends either signal, our analytics collect nothing at all — the check runs before any identifier is generated.

When our analytics do run, they record the page address, page title, referring page, browser language, window and screen size, and how long the page was visible. Your IP address is shortened before it is stored, so it identifies a network rather than a device. We do not record form contents, keystrokes, clicks, or mouse movement.

Every asset these pages load — fonts, stylesheets, scripts and images — is served from nakatomi.dev itself. Simply visiting this site sends your IP address to no third party. Two things reach another company, and only when you choose them: opening the demo video loads it from YouTube, and submitting a form sends what you typed to HubSpot, who process it on our behalf so that we can reply to you.
