01 — ORIGIN

Nakatomi was founded in 2024 by two operators who had spent a decade on opposite sides of the same problem: one shipping secure systems inside defence, enterprise and high-growth fintech; the other financing and scaling the platforms that came out of it. We kept meeting teams stuck in the same place — brilliant product, traction, runway — and then a six-month wall of compliance, cloud set-up, and security hardening before anything real could ship to production.

Richard Orman

Richard is a security professional with more than a decade of experience across defence and enterprise environments. He has led initiatives in DevSecOps, risk management and security automation at Paidy, General Dynamics, CACI and the U.S. Air Force.

His expertise spans cloud-native architectures, Linux, Terraform and incident response — with a proven track record of scaling resilient systems in high-pressure settings. Richard combines deep technical skill with entrepreneurial drive to design security frameworks that modern businesses can actually use to grow.

Kevin Seo

Kevin is a business leader with more than a decade of experience across blockchain, finance and strategic partnerships in Asia and global markets. He has led growth initiatives at the intersection of technology and capital — building partnerships and investment platforms spanning luxury goods, beauty tech and blockchain.

Previously, Kevin was Senior Director at DU Capital, driving venture investments and listings, and held analyst roles at S&P Global and ISS covering commodities, governance and M&A across Asia. He began his career at Mercer Investments in London and served in the Republic of Korea Army as Secretary to the Division Commanding General.
